No good tree bears bad fruit. No bad tree bears good fruit.
Know each tree by the fruit it bears. You will not see people get figs from thornbushes, or grapes from brambles.
Good people bring good things out of the good treasure of their heart. Evil people brings evil things out of the evil treasure of their heart.
And as the heart overflows, the mouth speaks.
(Matthew 7:15-23; Matthew 12:33-37)
Storms catch us unawares. One moment, you’re walking along the shore, listening to birds, wind and waves.
Then before you can blink, thunder and lightning swallow your blue sky. Watching clouds boil across the sky, you may start wonder if you’ll ever find your way back to the light.
You may wonder why the Sower allows all the pain, and suffering. It doesn’t make any sense. If He’s all-powerful, then why doesn’t He make it stop?
No matter how difficult the day, or how dark the night, don’t let anything steal your hope.
Just as sap flows from the roots to sustain the branches, you can tap into the Sower’s strength to weather any storm.
The Vine and the Branches
“I am the vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, he prunes to make it even more fruitful.”
“My words have already cleansed you. So remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must rely on the vine. You can’t bear fruit apart from me.”
