Some days are harder than others, right?
Sorrow and loneliness overtake us.
Our heart’s poured out like water.
We feel hollow, helpless, alone.
All our failures and weaknesses accuse us.
They whisper in the dark “How could anyone love you?”
But they lie.
Because the truth is, we are loved.
Before the first spark of a sun flared to life, God loved us.
Even on days when we don’t feel worthy of love.
Even on days when we hate ourselves.
It’s ok. None of us are “good enough.”
I’m not “good enough.” And that’s ok.
I don’t have to be.
Because God still loves us. Always.
The one love in the universe that never changes, never wavers, never fails.
He’s always patient, always kind, always selfless, always full of hope for us.
And His love is there when I need it the most.
Especially on hard days.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
1 Samuel 12:22
For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. 6 God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
